Noel O' Grady will be performing in the Temple Bar Trad Fest as special guest of the Young Orchestral Pops (POPS) and Whitefriar Street Stringss in a Benefit Evening for these wonderful, mostly Dublin City musicians whose artistic director is KItty Dalligan.

The concert takes place in the delightful space of St. Werburgh's Church near Christ Church Cathedral and across the road from Burdock's.

St. Werburgh's Church was founded in 1178

Lord Edward Fitzgerald, one of the leaders killed in the 1798 Rebellion, is buried there. Jonathan Swift and pianist, composer John Field who was mostly the inspiration for Chopin's nocturnes, were baptised there.

Our wonderful writer and poet, James Clarence Mangan of My Dark Rosaleen, and, amongst others,

I saw here once, one little while

                                                   And then no more.

'Twas Eden's light on earth a while

                                                   And then no more ...

was born nearly.

Author, playwright, actor, Dublin City Councillor Gerard Mannix Flynn  will introduce the Evening.

The event is subsidised thus tickets are 10 Euros.
